Vision screening and a safer community

Meadow Lane school's Kindergarten and Second grades, 216 students, were the beneficiaries of vision screening by members of the Anderson Lions Club on Thursday morning, October 29.
We were able to do the screening in a short time span because the school district has a screening unit like the one Lions District 4-C1 uses.

After the session at the school the members went to the ribbon cutting for the new prescription drug disposal unit at the Anderson Police Station.
The Anderson Lions Club, Anderson Kiwanis Club, and the Anderson Rotary Club all contributed to the purchase of the unit, which provides a place for citizens to dispose of no longer needed prescription drugs to be discarded safely.
